2nd November
Sulby Glen, just downstream
from Tholt-y-Will. Here two tributary streams join the Sulby River,
one from the west side via a high waterfall and one from the east through
a steep sided valley. Not much water comes in via the east stream
now, as it is dammed higher up to form the Block Eary Reservoir and water
is diverted from there by pipe to feed the hydro electric power station
in the valley. By the time I did the flights, the sun had long since
set in the valley, which probably only gets a few hours direct illumination
each day at this time of year.
